About Time

In the life of a rose

I've lived and died 100 times.

You've watched me open, bloom, wilt, rot and start over.

You watch me again, and again, and again, and again...

And each time,

My time, measured in light, final breaths, finding, losing.

Time, giving so much

And then taking everything away

And I wonder this time, next year What will it look like?

With my guesses so often, so wrong

I wonder what beginning, what end waits for me

Will I have accepted the things that I cannot change?

And will I have changed the things I cannot accept?

This time, next time, about time.

The intro to Sabrina Claudio's debut EP "About Time" really spoke to me. Not in the form of love or a relationship, but work wise. I procrastinate so much. I was recently told by a good friend, "You're more ambitious than you make yourself out to be. I wish you would see that." The very next day, I started the construction of my website phoenixbeauty101.com, which went live on November 1st, 2018. I'm so proud of the progress I've made in the last few months but I'm am still a work in progress. 2018 is definitely my year and it's ABOUT TIME I've finally realized my destiny.
