Currently Binging: August
The Office
I always jump on television shows late because I don't watch live tv. If it doesn't come on Netflix or Hulu, more than likely, I won't' watch it. So it's no surprise that I jumped on The Office bandwagon when it's no longer on the air. I was in desperate need of a new show, especially because Netflix took How I Met Your Mother off. This show is what I call dry comedy, but I can't get enough of it. I would say I relate to Jim and Pam most from the show. Michael Scott does some EXTREMELY questionable things on the show and I believe his character is a closeted racist but maybe I'm looking at it from a black stand point.
Friends
Friends became my substitute after Netflix took How I Met Your Mother off back in February, but now that I've watched the show more times than I'm willing to admit, I see that HIMYM is basically Friends. Similar situations, similar character traits. Friends is just a feel good kind of show that displays how being there for one another can affect your entire life.
Law and Order SVU
WHO ISN'T OBSESSED WITH THIS SHOW?!?!?!?
Scorpion by Drake
Drake told us on Do Not Disturb that he'd be back in 2018 to give us the summary of how getting back to his regular life would humble him. Man, listen!!! On June 29, 2018, in which I deemed National Drake Release Day, Scorpion was released. It is a 25 song album in the style of an old school A-Side and B-Side theme. It seems as though the A-Side is a rap album and the B-Side is more R&B. If you're not familiar with this album, it spawned the world wide dance craze from comedian Shiggy, who eventually was featured in the video, In My Feelings. Kids as young as 2 years old have been asking Keke all summer does she love them.
The Kids Are Alright by Chloe x Halle
Chloe x Halle are the proteges of none other than Beyonce herself. They're currently on tour with her now. They're also stars on the new breakout show Grown-ish, starring Yara Shahidi. Their album The Kids Are Alright released earlier this year. They also wrote the Grown-ish theme song. The album is all about positivity and believing in yourself.
The Search for Everything by John Mayer
JOHN FREAKING MAYER! NUFF SAID!!!
