April Skin Care Favorites
I am a skin care junkie....I mean, I am an esthetician, so it would be crazy of me not to be. I'm that person that has 8 cleansers, 6 eye creams, 10 serums and 6 moisturizers, day and night, all in rotation at the same time. Don't judge me please. I love my skin and the condition of my skin shows it.
I decided to slow down a bit the last couple of months and focus my attention on a few items at a time so that I can really see what's working for my skin and what's a waste of time. I honestly forgot to do a favorites for last month so this month, we're getting into the nitty gritty of what's working for my skin.
E.L.F Beauty Shield Massaging Overnight Recovery Cream
Claims: anti-oxidant enriched, protects against environmental aggressors.
Verdict: I'm a big of products that smell fresh and natural. The citrus aroma is very invigorating. It also comes with a 5 ball roller as an applicator so that you can massage the product into the skin for better absorption. I would recommend this is you have no major skin concerns. Teens to 20 something's would benefit best for it, assuming that you have perfect skin and if you do, not fair because my skin was trash around that age. *pouts*
E.L.F. Illuminating Eye Cream
Claims: aims to reduce the look of dark circles and also preps eyes for a more that perfect makeup application.
Verdict: I'm a fan of the Clarisonic Opal, so naturally, I was in awe of this. It's simple design allows for deeper penetration of your eye cream so that you see faster results. The set came with an eye cream but I'll be completely honest and say that I haven't even given it a try because I love my current eye cream. Sorry E.L.F.
Skyn Iceland Plumping Lip Gel
Claims: tackles three big concerns--loss of fullness, lines and wrinkles around the mouth, and depleted moisture levels--all in 10 minutes flat.
Verdict: I've wanted lip fillers for a while now and now that I've been using these for about 3 months, I can see a drastic difference in my lips and I don't think I'll be needing those fillers anymore. They have more definition, shape, and are definitely more hydrated. I LOVE these and will certainly be using them from now on. Sometimes I'll use them with my Too Faced Lip Injection Lip Gloss. The results are unreal. I wish I would've done a before and after once I started using them, but oh well...
This is definitely a series I will continue to do. I love trying out new products and being that my skin is on the drier side, I can never have too many moisturizers. If there are any products out there that you think I should, be sure to drop me a comment down below and let me know. Thanks for this read you guys. Until next time...
