July Rewind

Here we are! It's the end of July. How did we get here? It seems as though we were just bringing in the new year and now we are officially on the other side of 2018. This year is flying sis, but you they say time flies when you're having fun and I've been having the time of my life this year.

However, I've never been a victim of Friday the 13th. I'm not a superstitious person, never have been. This month though, I fell victim to bad juju. It's as if I just couldn't get right that day. The day started with one of my newest highlighter crumbling to dust. For those that have a passion for makeup, like myself, you know that breaking a favorite product is the equivalent of killing off your favorite character on Grey's Anatomy. ( We miss you McDreamy.)

On the way to work, my car over heated and I had to get my car towed. It was at least 100 degrees that morning. My sister came to my aid and dropped me off at work and my mom helped me get my car towed. Thankfully, the fix was something as simple as needing transmission fluid and coolant. Nothing harmed the engine...THANK GOD!!!

Once I got to work, I started on laundry, because it was super dry day on the books, and I broke the dryer somehow. Who knows why things happen the way they do? None of my clients showed up that day either. It was almost as if a dark cloud was hanging over my head for the day.

Once I actually sat down and took a deep breath, I looked at my phone and saw that it was, in fact, Friday the 13th. I couldn't do anything but laugh. Like I said, I'm not superstitious, but it seemed like nothing wanted to go right that day. Once I prayed about everything and asked God to make it better, my day got better. It's the first time that I've experienced anything like that.
